Carbon Filtering We begin by putting all water through carbon filters to remove contaminants and impurities through absorption. One pound (454g) of activated carbon contains a surface area of approximately one square kilometer. Carbon is charged with a positive charge to attract negatively charged contaminants.
Water Conditioning We condition the water through a five step cycle operation that removes harmful inorganic minerals.
Pre-filtering The water then passes through two pre-filters, the first is five microns, and the second is one micron. A micron is one millionth of a metre, it would take one hundred microns for the width of a human hair. The human eye can not see anything smaller than forty microns.
Bacteria is two microns wide, larger than our filters allowing us to remove harmful bacteria as part of our cleaning process.
Reverse Osmosis Our Reverse Osmosis water filters are computer designed, utilizing the latest up-dated element data. UV Max Ultraviolet (UV) light treatment is a widely recognized and proven method of disinfection of water. It is a physical treatment, not chemical, so it doesn't alter the water chemistry.
